Some History...

Pocket PCs were PDAs (personal digital assistants) that ran Microsoft's Windows CE operating system. They were first introduced in the year 2000, designed to compete with Palm's PDAs. For the first few years of the 2000s, Pocket PCs were very popular.

In the end, smartphones would replace PDAs for most people. However, fans of Pocket PCs continue to use and appreciate these devices to this day!

This is why we created Pocket PC Planet, a website preserving the history of Pocket PCs. With a software archive, wiki, and forums, PPC Planet hopes to keep this era of mobile computing alive for many years to come.
